Someone stop me...

Oh my goodness, I am doing two blogs in one night...I think I've lost my mind! Oh well, its for your benefit, so, enjoy the last of my most recent pictures!! :-)

Here's Ryan wearing mommy's shoes in his undies...classic!!

Martin powerwashed our small little patio this week with the beautiful weather and we all kinda got summer fever. The guys are playin in the tent...Ryan sooo wants to go camping now!

Guy time.

I can't believe I can say this, but I am almost up to date on photos! AMAZING! I'll end with this cool video I took tonight of the Thunderstorm. Have a great week everyone!

Venturing out

We've had some amazing, 70 degree days here and I am LOVING IT! Last week I got out of the house with Heidi and went up the Mckenzie to watch Emily's track meet. Heidi was either nuts or really ambitious that day because Martin was working and I had to take BOTH boys with. Thank goodness for the beautiful weather!! Here are some pictures of the meet.
The story goes like this...we got there in time for Heidi to video Emily povaulting, but unfortunately I had to watch it later because she had to literally run across the track to get it on tape. We were running a bit late...as I usually am ;-)

But I did get some pretty amazing pics of a kid named Cameron who also povaults. He is a "beast" as Emily would say! I think he topped out at 13.9 feet! NUTS! Emily has only gotten over 7 feet, but she's still got 3 years to go, not too shabby for her very first year doing it. Here is the lone picture I have of Emily competing in the 100 meter, she's running her heart out...fyi...she's the one closest to us in red with black shorts.

This one shows how nuts you gotta be to do this event! OY VEY!

Here's where we parked ourselves.

Wyatt venturing out...ya, ya, I know, I forgot his shoes...but in my defense, he's not walking...yet.

Our future povaulter ;-) Well, maybe not, but he was loving the povault pit and bar!

Here's how the boys ended the beautiful day.

To be honest...

Mothers day this year meant a little more. Not so much of the "Awww, being a mommy is always easy and fun" it was more of a "PHEW I made it through almost one year with two boys!" Don't get me wrong, I love my boys-but they are such different boys- and since Wyatt has started moving, our household has become a battlefield. Toys are always "MINE" and usually traded, not shared. Mealtimes always begin with someone whining or fussing over wanting something else or wanting it NOW! Whenever the front door opens you would think my kids never get to leave the house because they are both crying to get out.

My idea of a good day is if I get the boys bathed, fed (not in any certain order of course, though feeding before bath is usually the best way to do it) and to bed before 10pm...yup I said 10pm. In a house where daddy stays up all night at work, we somehow find ourselves staying up later and sleeping in later (when allowed). Its the truth and we have embraced our alternative sleep schedule. I have battled fevers, colds, pink eye, and anemia all by the grace of God and am thankful daily that those top our list of illnesses for the year.

Even with all the struggles, my boys are the source of such joy for me...they make me laugh and smile when I need it most and really these years I have with them are probably the most critical, so I am thankful for being able to stay home with them as much as I do.

I know this is only one year of my mommyhood with my boys, but with many more ahead I can say I am thankful that I have these daily struggles and lessons learned because I know that God is molding and shaping me even when I don't realize it.

Thank you Father for the gift of my children, may you give me patience for the next 17 years and continue to challenge me to become a better mommy. Happy late mother's day everyone, may you not forget the struggles, but always remember the victories!

Back to it!

Wow, life is passing me by too quickly here! I'm so behind with my pictures, I will just pass by the holiday pictures all together (sorry!) and move on to more current pictures and activities. Just a short catch up...then will do more blogging later.
So, I did it...I cut my hair! Well, "I" didn't cut it, but I had it cut at a salon ;-) I love it...actually since this picture was a good 3 weeks ago, it has grown out a bit and I am needing to get it trimmed. But I am for sure gonna keep it short from now on...I can't tell you how nice it is to get outa the shower in 5 minutes, fix my hair in 2 minutes and move on! Why didn't I cut it before??? Oh yeah, my hubby doesn't like me cutting my hair...he actually shaved his gotee off the week after I cut my hair in rebellion of my new 'do. What a goober....he looked like he was ten years old! Sorry, no picture to go along with that....I'm sure he'll do it again when I trim my hair next and I will get my camera out when he does! :-P
Love the self portrait!

A few weeks ago we had a yummy crab feed at my grandma's house...the boys could care less, but we LOVED it! This is how we spent the time after eating.
Ryan found this hat and thought it was "Woody's Hat", but really it was one my grandma and grandpa picked up in Mexico. I am thinking about getting this one printed and framed.
I love taking pictures of Wyatt...he is so photogenic...and he totally poses when he sees the camera...what a ham!

Grandma time!

He wants to walk so bad, I just know he'll be doing it before he turns 1. This picture captures his adorable little one tooth smile!

That's it for now...will post more later! Got some boys who would like to do something other than watch their mom on the computer! lol.

My baby is growing too quick.

So, yesterday it came to my attention that my little baby Wyatt is cutting his first tooth. He hadn't been acting like himself...more fussy, more irritable....not the happy baby we'd been so use to enjoying.

It seems too soon, he should still be that little bundle we brought home from the hospital who loved to be snuggled all day long, not this big boy who would rather be put in his own bed to take a nap. He should still be nursing all the time, not eating cereal by the bucket full and doing raspberries with his mouth full! He should lean back and snuggle me, not wanna sit up all the time. How has time flown by so quickly? It seemed as though this last 6 months has zipped by and I have missed most of it.

I pray this Christmas that I can stop and enjoy my boys at the age they are. I pray that I can enjoy every second and not take it for granted and remember that they will not always be home and will not need me someday (not anytime soon I hope!).

Here I sit with Wyatt playing in his saucer and Ryan playing trains in his room...I love these sounds, may I never forget how wonderful those simple things are.

Roses and Gallstones

My wonderful Grandma Shirley was so sweet to GIVE me her Civil War ticket. It was my first Civil War and if it's my last I will be happy with that, because it was a BLAST! I had my Mom and Dad-in law lined up to keep the boys for me, so I was kid free for a whole 12 hours! We bundled up, decked ourselves in duck gear and went straight for the warmth of the Mashofski Center (sp?).
My mom and I.
My beautiful Aunt Cindy and Mom...die hard Duck Fans for sure!

My Dad and I...it was so special to spend that time with them without little ones around, its been too long since we've done that!

This is when the team walks through the M. Center a couple hours before the game...those poor guys were so smooshed by the crowd that they hardly had room to walk through!

I'll be honest, I had to look his face up in the program...this is Juran Barner. He ended up having a pretty awesome game.

And of course Jeremiah Masoli! He is such a humble leader...love him!

My parents and grandparents have had these seats reserved for so many years...we have been spoiled growing up being able to go to the games. Here we all are before it got too cold.

Both Oregon and OSU Marching bands on the same field...pretty cool looking.

Okay, now its cold...love the self portrait!

I jumped ahead to the end of the game here, but I love this picture. Everyone had roses that they were passing out at the end of the game when we realized the Ducks were gonna win and were actually going to the Rose Bowl! It was so loud and exciting! I thought this picture portrayed the moment perfectly!

I smell rooooses!!

Walking out of the stadium...I will never forget how nuts the crowd was!

So, I spent that entire game in a bit of back pain and had been struggling with this back pain off and on for a year and a half. The docs have said it was everything from gastrointestinal flu to a chiropractic problem...etc. Rediculus, I know, but I trusted that they knew what they were talking about. Come to find out last week I had been suffering from pancreatitus and gallstones!! Far from the prior diagnosis, but I was just glad they figured it out and just took my gallbladder out to solve the problem completely! Now I'm in recovery mode...low fat diet and all! Nothing like being forced into a lifestyle change. :-P

I am still amazed at how God took care of the situation. I had my sister in law Heidi with me at the ER when I found out they were gonna be taking my gallbladder out (she's always keepin' my spirits up). She was able to get her other sister in law and a friend of mine, Christine to finish up preschool for me until winter break, she even called all my preschool families to let them know what was going on! Plus, my mom and dad-in law were able to keep the boys for the night since Martin was working. Oh and the cherry on the top was that my insurance will cover 100% of the medical bill!! Praise the Lord! I have so much to be thankful for this holiday season. Well, since I am awful about getting out any sort of Christmas cards, I'll end with a cheesy Hallmark moment:
May your family be blessed this Holiday season! Happy Holidays!
With Love,
The Pelroy Family

Home Bodies

We are not a very busy family per say, but we are usually in town seeing family, or shopping or something. But this past weekend has been a very mellow, hang around the house kinda weekend. There were no plans, no parties, no gatherings of any sort...Martin was working all weekend and I had Thursday-Sunday off, so we became home bodies!
I threw the blanket over Wyatt's play gym and Ryan thought that was the funnest thing ever, so he had to join in. I love this picture of the boys', this is how I'd love to see them playing two years from now!

Bath time for Wyatt...He cracks me up. The fingers are now his favorite thing to chew...very handy I might add!
When I sat him down in the sink, he instinctively kicked his feet up and got comfortable...what a nut!
He wont fit like this much longer :-(
I will be starting to make healthy changes to start my weight loss up again this week, so I decided it was time to make a yummy and terribly unhealthy batch of chocolate chip cookies while I watched the Duck game yesterday with the boys. I caught a shot of Ryan with his beater...he licked it clean. He helped me put most of the ingredients together....and made a big mess of course!
Wyatt was oblivious to the yummy cookie dough being devoured and just enjoyed chewing on his toys...what a sweet boy!
I brought home the wooden tracks and trains from my work for Ryan to enjoy over the long weekend. This is what the living room looked like by the end of the night....you had to watch your every step!
Ryan enjoyed watching the cookies in the oven...this batch was a bit flat, but yummy anyway!
So, our dog Max is crazy mad for the flashlight, as many dog are I'm sure. But he's got one up on them...he can just about jump and hit the ceiling trying to "catch" the light. This is a picture I got of him in mid air. Let me remind you he's a 90lb dog and we have a 1000 sq ft house...and he's an indoor dog, so there's not much room for him to do this, but we put up with it anyway! Thank goodness he's our only pet!
I think Max hit the wall trying to catch the light this time! Obsessed much?!
So all in all it was an enjoyable long weekend for all of us....except those who had to work :-(
We look forward to next weekend when daddy is off work and we can do more together as a family...its hard to stay quiet during the day while he sleeps, but we are so grateful for him having a job that can take care of us! God is GOOD.....ALL THE TIME!
